i joined calorie count back in January but never completed a day (haha!), and for some reason today i chose to start!  we’ll see how long this lasts, i hope i don’t get too lazy or forget.  i like that it keeps track of your nutrients :)
total is too low so i’ll find something to eat in my dorm room to get me to -300 then start taking things off my dorm room walls!  so depressing.

today there was no oatmeal for breakfast!  i have become so used to eating it every day that it took a while running around the caf to find something else.  cheerios did well :)  plus i love me the low fat Kellog’s granola the caf has.  i also heard a rumor that because there’s only a week left, the caf is not ordering more raisins for the oatmeal station even though there ran completely out.  oatmeal fan problems.

at lunch my best friend gave me some home made cookies from a care package she received from her mother.  delicious.  all things in moderation.  i should have gone without the betty crocker bar in hindsight.  

tomorrow is a new day!  do it right :)

whoa, i eat too much junk food.  late realization but i am acknowledging it now.  if i want to see better / quicker results, i need to start eating healthier.  i have come a long way but i need to start keeping an eye on my treats better.  i’m thinking a 100cal allowance every day for something sweet?  or maybe something just 2x a week.  i don’t know yet, i’ll think of something.

today was my college’s spring concert!  we had Mike Posner with opener Hoodie Allen.  it was aawwwesome.  whenever either of them looked at me i screamed, which was often because i arrived early with my friends to get in the front row.  it was legendary.

with all that fun behind me, time to tackle my last week of classes.  that is ridic.  the week after that is finals, but mine start early because 4 of them are essays / a take-home test.  meep.  thank God i did one of them two weeks ago.  i got one prompt today that’s due in 11 days, and i’ll get a 2nd on tuesday.  pedal to the medal.

somehow i set my alarm for 7 this morning instead of 8, and when i woke up and realized my mistake i forgot to correct it!  i ended up oversleeping and woke up a minute after i was supposed to meet my friends for breakfast.  i freaked out, brushed my teeth, threw on zumba clothes under jeans + a hoodie, swiped on makeup, printed an essay, and rraann to the caf.  somehow i still had 10 minutes to eat before my class, which meant the fastest i’ve ever consumed oatmeal.  it usually takes me a while in the midst of chatting and enjoying :3

Zumba-ing today was blase thanks to my cold.  it’s getting better though, i can tell it will be over soon.  thank God for nasal decongestant, hollllaaa!

time to finish a group project, email it, review my note cards for the presentation, and maybe an ep of gilmore girls.

omgg took a leap and tried a new type of oatmeal this morning.  my best friend had an extra packet of quaker instant cinnamon spice oatmeal and yuummmooo.  plus i added raisins so i could pretend it was an oatmeal raisin cookie :3  deficit is tbd because i’m going to a movie soon and will probably grab a pack of fruit snacks on the way out.

Zumba tonight was intense, i probably exerted more effort than ever before.  it was very fun :)  

one of my best friends has a cold, another was diagnosed with mono, and now my throat is beginning to hurt.  oh man.  that calls for hot tea and some cough drops.  FYI, Hall’s citrus cough drops taste good and always help my sore throat!

best thing that happened today: on the way to the gym my best friend complimented my calf muscles.  i think they’re huge and unlady-like after 9 years of dance and i dislike them immensely.  what she said made me feel very good about myself :)

worst thing that happened: i’ve realized i lost ALL OF MY MOTIVATION for school work.  blame it on the weather i guess.  last weekend i did so much work it’s like my brain is protesting doing anything more.  sadly i still have 2 essays and 1 project.

but my panini afterwards was absolutely delicious.  so not all was lost.  also, my cafeteria started serving fresh, fruity smoothies.  thank God they are poured in cups holding roughly 6 - 8 oz because smoothies pack a punch.  especially chocolate strawberry ones :3

after community service today i grabbed a Major Declaration form from the registration office.  guess who is coming out of the Undecided closet oh yeeahh.  English with a concentration in writing it is! :o)

workout was awesome today!  for some reason i had plenty of energy and wanted to keep going, but i knew then i would have to counter-act that with eating more, and my cafeteria’s menu was tres sub-par today :P

tomorrow i choose housing for next year!  so nerve wracking.  i can’t believe freshman year is almost over and now i need to start planning for sophomore year — plus, class registration is on thursday.  of course my time slot sucks, but hey, that’s life.
